Chad Gates

District 214 | Program Quality Director

Toastmasters works best when we focus on the fundamentals.

The District mission gives us a clear direction: support clubs, develop leaders, and deliver a strong learning experience for members. My vision is a District that executes those fundamentals consistently and well.

First, our clubs must succeed. Members join Toastmasters to become more confident communicators and leaders. When clubs provide well-run meetings, meaningful feedback, and a supportive environment, members grow. When members grow, clubs thrive.

Second, District leadership should be a meaningful leadership experience. Serving as a club officer, Area Director, or Division Director gives volunteers the opportunity to develop real leadership skills: communication, organization, problem-solving, and service. My goal is to help create an environment where District leaders feel supported, informed, and empowered to succeed.

Strong districts are built when these two things grow together: thriving clubs and developing leaders.

As Program Quality Director, my focus will be on helping leaders succeed by keeping our attention on what matters most. Clear communication. Effective training. Practical support for club officers and District leaders.

When we execute the fundamentals well, the results follow. Clubs grow stronger, leaders gain experience, and members receive the full value of the Toastmasters program.
