As the current District 44 Public Relations Manager, I’ve led efforts to elevate our brand, modernize our platforms, amplify our value story, and strengthen how we communicate and engage across our district. I believe Toastmasters can grow again—but only if we focus on what truly matters: delivering real value to our members.
I’m running to strengthen our clubs, modernize how we operate, and build a sustainable path to growth across District 214.

A Stronger, Smarter, and Growing District 214

Toastmasters has always been about developing people. But growth doesn’t happen by chance—it happens when we consistently deliver value.

My vision is simple:

  • A modern approach that makes Toastmasters relevant today

When we focus on delivering meaningful experiences, people stay and they bring others with them. And when our clubs are strong, growth is no longer something we chase; it becomes something we sustain.

We Don’t Have a Demand Problem—We Have an Execution Opportunity

Across Toastmasters, clubs have faced challenges in recent years:

  • Membership decline following COVID disruptions
  • Retention challenges—many members leave when they don’t see value
  • Inconsistent club experiences

Growth starts with strong clubs. When clubs consistently deliver value, members stay—and growth follows naturally.

Recruit Club Coaches and Mentors from High Performing Clubs

Identify leaders from Distinguished and high-performing clubs and actively recruit them to serve as club coaches and mentors. These experienced members bring proven practices, leadership experience, and a standard of excellence that can be replicated across other clubs.

Pair Strong Clubs with Developing Clubs

Create a structured “club-to-club” partnership model where strong clubs are paired with developing clubs. This allows for shared learning, exposure to high-quality meetings, and practical support that accelerates improvement.

Launch a District-Supported Member Success Framework

Establish a simple, repeatable onboarding and retention framework that clubs can easily adopt, ensuring every new member receives a consistent, high-quality start across the district and every established member continues to thrive and find value in the Toastmasters program. This includes a “First 90 Days” playbook with clear milestones, mentorship pairing, and early engagement opportunities, supported by district-led orientation and resources that reinforce club efforts and drive long-term member success.

Build a Corporate Growth Pipeline

Growth starts with strong clubs. When clubs consistently deliver value, members stay—and growth follows naturally.

Launch Signature Speechcraft Programs

Introduce structured Speechcraft programs as an entry point for organizations to experience the value of Toastmasters in a short, impactful format. These programs provide a condensed, hands-on experience that builds confidence and communication skills while creating a natural pathway into full club membership.

Host Corporate and Community Connection Sessions

Engage HR, Learning & Development leaders, and community organizations through targeted sessions that demonstrate how Toastmasters can support leadership development, employee engagement, and communication skills. These sessions will be designed to build relationships, showcase real outcomes, and create a clear path from interest to action.

Deliver a White-Glove Onboarding Experience

Provide hands-on, structured support from initial interest through chartering, ensuring new clubs launch strong with clear leadership, engaged members, and a sustainable foundation. This includes guided setup, leadership alignment, and early-stage support to help organizations fully integrate Toastmasters into their development programs.

Strengthen Club Quality First

Growth happens locally. By empowering leaders at the Division and Area level, we create stronger connections and more consistent results.

Build Division-Level Growth Teams

Establish dedicated teams focused on club growth and support within each Division to ensure local ownership and accountability. These teams will collaborate regularly to share best practices, align on priorities, and drive coordinated growth efforts across their areas.

Equip and Empower Area Directors

Provide Area Directors with practical tools, clear strategies, and ongoing support to help them effectively grow and support clubs in their areas. This includes structured playbooks, regular check-ins, and access to district resources so they can confidently guide clubs and identify growth opportunities.

Create Local Growth Pipelines

Develop consistent approaches to identifying new club opportunities, engaging communities, and supporting membership growth at the local level. This includes building relationships with local organizations, tracking opportunities, and creating a repeatable pipeline that Area and Division leaders can actively manage.

Use Data and Smart Tools to Deliver Value

We will stop guessing and start focusing by using data and simple technology to guide our actions and deliver better outcomes. This approach helps us reduce administrative burden and prioritize what matters most, delivering value to our members.

Identify High-Potential and At-Risk Clubs

Use data to clearly understand which clubs need support and which are positioned for growth, allowing for more targeted and proactive action. By combining performance insights with simple tracking tools, leaders can quickly identify trends and intervene earlier before challenges grow. This ensures we are focusing our time where it will have the greatest impact across the district.

Prioritize High-Impact Opportunities

Focus time and resources on the areas, clubs, and initiatives that will drive the strongest results across the district. Using data and simple tools, we can move from reactive decisions to intentional prioritization, ensuring our efforts align with measurable outcomes. This creates a more disciplined and strategic approach to growth instead of spreading efforts too thin.

Provide Clear, Actionable Insights to Leaders

Equip leaders with easy-to-understand insights so they can make informed decisions quickly and confidently without getting overwhelmed by complexity. By leveraging AI and simple automation tools, we can generate deeper analytical insights, build data-driven tactical plans, and streamline reporting and administrative tasks. This enables leaders to focus less on gathering information and more on taking meaningful action that drives results.
